I would like to extrapolate the case of Peter Pan, the set of adaptations that have been made by Walt Disney and other companies, literary classics. The beauty of works like "Peter Pan", "Alice in Wonderland" and some recent films such as "Toy Story" or "Up" is the ability of a child and an adult to appreciate different elements of the same story. A Disney version, is as valid or invalid as a macabre version, since these partially eliminating double reading, and as long as Disney can be seen by children and adults, the other not.
Anyway, I'm a defender of Disney, but that does not prefer to read the Alice books that their adaptation of it. In the final analysis, an adaptation, then Disney or make Bryan Talbot (say someone) is a version that shows the importance of the original work is you should not miss.
My conclusion is that you read and see adaptations, judging them as such, always keeping in mind what it is and also the original.
